We met again in a member's living room and blended our voices wordlessly.

June 29, 2025 – Rising Song Intensive Workshop
We had strong representation at this year's RSI Summer Intensive! We traveled to NYC by train and spent the entire day immersed in glorious harmonies, learning new niggunim and sharing ideas and techniques for getting singers involved. We couldn't wait to share what we learned!

April 15, 2025 – Niggun Circle at Tikvat Israel Congregation
We gathered in Rockville for an evening of communal song and basked together in the afterglow of our Passover seders! This niggun circle highlighted the music of Joey Weisenberg in anticipation of Tikvat Israel's upcoming concert honoring Cantor Rochelle Helzner and featuring Joey and his Rising Song Ensemble.

March 27, 2025 – Back to Our Roots
Almost a year after our spirited group first gathered in Rena Strauss's living room, we returned to a living room setting. We chanted Havdalah and made beautiful music—and Ma'agal Maryland was born. We marked our "almost-anniversary" with an intimate gathering in the Rockville area that took us back to our living room roots.

February 1, 2025 – Niggun Circle at B'nai Israel
We were joined by Cantor Bolts and percussionist Steve Bloom. Steve's drumming provided a fabulous backbeat to our voices!

January 26, 2025 – Song Circle in Baltimore
We joined Raza, Chana Raskin, Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz, and others for a song circle in Baltimore.

October 21, 2024 – Shirah B'Sukkah Niggun Circle
A beautiful night of singing in the Har Shalom sukkah!
